How does saving $4.00 to $5.00 everytime you fill up your tank sound?
E85 costs approximately 20 to 25 cents less per gallon than gasoline.
E85 is the term for motor fuel blends of 85 % ethanol and just 15 % gas. E85 is an alternative fuel, defined by the U.S. Department of Energy. Besides its superior performance characteristics, ethanol burns cleaner than gas; it is a completely renewable, domestic, environmentally friendly fuel that enhances the nation's economy and energy independence.
A little information about the E85 it's a win win situation for The United States. First of all farmers in the United States grow corn from which E85 is made. Second E85 only contains 15% gasoline and 85% Ethanol, therefore we use less gasoline and do not have to depend on other counties for fuel. 85% of the money we spend on fuel will be put back in the United States economy and not sent off to make other countries rich.

Using E85 a fuel will also bring gasoline prices down because there is not a much of a demand for gas anymore. Once this happens the cost of E85 will also go down to compete with gas lower gas prices.

The power an engine has when using E85 is comparable or slightly higher than gas. Depending on composition and source, E85 has an octane rating of 100 to 105 compared to regular gas with a typical rating of 87 for regular and 93 for premium.
